Digital painting has gained in popularity in recent years. With improvements in technology and the variety of tools and resources at your disposable, it’s no wonder. Not only that, but digital painting in the long run is the most affordable as you don’t have to purchase supplies like paint, brushes and mediums. You will need to make a few investments when you first begin. In this post we will focus on digital landscape painting in photoshop, so obviously you will need to have the software available and preferably some type of drawing tablet. You could draw with a mouse or some other peripheral device, but it will make painting extremely difficult, so it is best to invest in a drawing tablet. This is outside of the scope of this article however. Below are a handful of step by step digital painting landscape demonstrations and tutorials using Photoshop. I do hope you find these helpful and most enjoyable.
