A very informative demo and I am looking forward to using the tempera grassa technique...but it will need a bit of planning and time. Thanks for this demo. Beautiful work.

THANKS TO ALL THE ARTISTS WHO COMPLIMENTED ME ON THE SITE OF THE MISCHE TECHNIQUE!
To answer some questions- it really does need a teacher to initiate one into using the technique! I was lucky to have Professor Ernst Fuchs in Vienna, but I do teach the technique, and if an art school were interested, I could arrange to teach a course on it.
Gesso and dried white paint will not work instead of egg tempera. (Please note- the spelling is tempera- tempura is a delicious Japanese fry-up - and that wouldn't work either!)

Totally amazing process! I have never read about this technique before. I was fascinated and very impressed with this technique. I don't however think I could master it. It must take an enormous amount of patience! This is absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you so much for sharing it!!!! Wow!! Kudos to Brigid!!!

I am floored. This is so beautiful and makes me want to try (a simpler) version. You are an amazing artist. I wish I could see this in person to really see the glow.

Does it only work with egg tempura or could one use gesso or dried white paint as well?
