I often browse around YouTube and other video sharing websites in search of new talent to post here on my blog.  Today I hit the motherload!   The following is a two part video demonstration of a landscape by the amazingly talented artist Maxim Grunin.  I was in absolute awe when I watched Maxim create this work of art in what seems like a matter of hours.  When you see the finished product you will be amazed as well.  The finished painting looks as though it took months or even years to create. It looks so complicated but Maxim makes it look so easy.  I think we can all learn a thing or two from this artist. I do hope you enjoy this demonstration as much as I did and I hope this inspires you to create something as equally amazing as this.

Here is a wonderful step by step plein air painting demo by the very talented artist, Cyndra Bradford. Cyndra will demonstrate how she creates a beautiful impressionist style painting of two horses in a farm setting.

To master plein air painting takes lots of time and practice. It is definitely a very challenging form of painting as you must work very quickly because the light is constantly changing. Painting outdoors is a a balancing act. If you paint too quickly, you will wind up with mud, if you paint too slowly, you will lose the scene. Hopefully this video will help you in your quest to becoming a better plein air painter.

Here is a wonderful step by step watercolor painting video demonstration by Artist Danny Gregory.  This is a wonderful little tutorial on how Danny paints a nice little L.A. landscape scene.  Watercolor is a challenging medium to paint landscapes with. Lighting conditions change very quickly outdoors so you must work quickly.  If you are not experienced and careful, things can get real messy while working with watercolor outdoors.  Hopefully this video demonstration will give you the necessary tips to become a better painter.
