Paul Gauguin said, “It is better to paint from memory, for thus your work will be your own.” You see, you are on the right track! Keep painting! Just remember that YOUR BEST TEACHER will be the last work before a new one is begun!

Thank you all for the wonderful comments. My husband is afraid I won’t be able to get my head through our door. This is the first time I’ve put my work in public,and as Ralph can tell you I’ve been really nervous about it. But you all have made me feel great about showing my paintings. Special Thanks to Ralph who calmed my nerves before he posted my ship. and to Ingrid, Thank you for the comments you gave me things to think about. I really loved your website, you do beautiful work . This has been a great experience.

I Love this picture it has movement and
a calmness about it which I feel is brought about by the colour
that you have used.

you have a very particular style, its great, and produce something
like this from the mind without much knowledge of boats is a gift.
