I’ve been told people are hard to paint in acrylic, and I know. I think that you did a good job!

Your limited palette adds to the relaxed feel for this painting.
Also love the unusual composition for a dual portrait.

Once again I agree with everyone elses comments so far the “relaxed feeling” of the painting is what I love the most
to me a painting must evoke emotion or it is not really art
Great job

I like the lovely fluid strokes of the figure on the right especially.

Good relaxed ‘friendly’ painting - makes you almost feel welcome to be with them.

Hi Linda,
GREAT JOB, good shapes, good storytelling! The blue vertical shape above the figure with the white blouse is a bit distracting. Maybe it is the black triangle area next to this blue shape that draws my attention to it.
Nice painting! keep painting! Thanks for sharing with us!

I love this painting. Especially the figure in the foreground! Good Stuff! The drapery she has on is, i dont know…i can’t explain it which is horrible.

Hi Linda,
As I was looking at your painting again I saw one more thing that I would like to comment on, and that is the vertical red window frame shape in back of the male figure’s head. It looks as though it is rising up from the figure’s head. Maybe just eliminate this shape or make it less obvious by softening the edges and graying it. This would then draw more attention to the figure’s face. Just a thought!

You`ve captured the essence of your subjects body language beautifully. Well done!
