I'm rather a bold painter, using bold colours and would truly have liked to see more colour in the grass, especially in the foreground, but do appreciate that this is watercolour and therefore has a softer approach. I like how you have the subtle angles in the foreground lead us through the painting up to the barns and then take us out through the sky! I would like to offer a few suggestions. Always ask yourself this question before you begin painting.... WHAT do I want to make stand out a bit more in my painting over everything else? Is it the sheep, the red barns and tree line, or a little of both? In other words, what is my center of interest? A couple of suggestions could be: 1. Lower the tree line and barns to give us more sky. Then have some of the sheep take a bite out of those nice red barn shapes to connect the two together to give us a strong center of interest. The contrast of the red barns with the white sheep shapes would create a striking center of interest. 2. Raise the tree line to give us more foreground and a sliver of the sky shape. Have some of the sheep (very small in the background) take bites out of the barn shapes. In the foreground, have a group of sheep with more contrast and detail (within the grass and also within the sheep as a focal area), and then have a few white suggested shapes (as sheep) in the background, including those taking bites out of the barns. These would then lead our eyes back to the barns, but have them less important than the focal area of the sheep in the foreground. You have a lovely approach to watercolor!
