My name is Wilda Ortiz. I have painted, colored and drawn since I could carry a pencil. My mother has kept many of my creations. Now at 45, my husband has inspired me to begin again. He purchased all I need to start oil painting. I thank you for sharing this interview with us. I have decided that Karin Wells will be the artist I will learn from and am extremely impressed with what I have seen. I am interested only in painting portraits, animals and flowers. I pray I can be as successful as Ms. Wells. Thank you again for this wonderful inspiration. Blessings, Wilda Ortiz

Karin Wells....A very generous artist!! I have downloaded the article she wrote for a Stroke of Genius and have referred to it many times. I love her work and just saw two still lifes today at the Sharon Art Museum. They were gorgeous! Very nice backgrounds.
