I always tell my students that one wants to keep the viewer  looking as long as possible, in one&#039;s paintings.  You do this!  You have a unique personal way of expressing yourself with charming results.

On a personal note I have one suggestion.  You did such a nice job with that young man I want to see HIM!  I think that your background color is a bit bright for BACKGROUND.  It competes with the portrait.  Maybe by adding some of that red used in the hair and some of the dark used in the glasses  to the background, it could become a bit more subdued in color, which would help us see the portrait without conflict.  This would also connect the background to the portrait!

I REALLY like your style and the charming expression you captured in this painting!  Keep painting and thank you for sharing this piece with us!
