I love the angle of you looking up, making us think "a little" about this painting! I have a few comments to make. Compositionally speaking, I would have liked a little less negative space maybe on either side of your face. Cropping the left side a little would not have your face in the center of the canvas and give more importance to your face and more interest to the negative space around your face. The bridge of your nose seems to "come forward" too much, and by softening the area where the light meets the dark and putting a little darker value where the bridge of the nose is, would set this area back farther on your face. The left corner of your mouth (as I am looking at it) also seems to come forward. By softening this area and by losing that top lip line, the corner would set farther back as it does so nicely on the right side. You picked such an interesting angle making the composition very compelling. There's plenty of detail but it's still fresh with bold brushwork. I really like it, it's so expressive. I also like that you didn't overwork the background (something I recognize as a problem in most of my work).
