Describe this Piece: This picture was inspired by a hike at Maple Lake in Willow Springs, IL after a heavy snow. I stopped at this particular location to admire the the soft evening colors and deer tracks that lead into the deep forest. Suddendly, I heard crows “cawing” in the distance. I always wanted to remember that moment so it became eternal in my painting. Nature is the greatest teacher.

Loved it……….you’ve created a wonderful atmosphere, even though it looks cold!
Love the shadows and footprints – good colours.

ABSOLUTELY B – E – A – U – T – I – F – U – L !!! I COULD ALMOST FEEL THE SNOW AND HEAR THE CROW. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A PHOTOGRAPH, THEN I REALIZED IT WAS JUST A VERY TALENTED ARTIST.

Just a beautiful painting! It speaks volumes to me about growing up in a rural atmosphere. I grew up in the mountains of Colorado and loved to follow the tracks left by various animals. I haven’t tried to capture the moment by painting, but am surely inspired to now!! Thanks for the kick!

I enjoyed viewing your creative watercolor art painting. I really like the foot prints and the white area, this is my hardest area to painting. Continue working your great creative work.
